Fire Rips Through Lindenhurst VFW Post

Firefighters from across the area are on the scene of a large fire in the attic area at the VFW Post in Lindenhurst.

The fire started around 10:37 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 560 N. Delaware Ave., said the Suffolk County Police.

Currently, Daniels Street and Delaware Avenue near the scene are closed to traffic, police said.

Numerous departments are reporting to the scene where reportedly at least two firefighters have been injured.
